About Lex

This blog was originally exclusive to tarantulas, but has grown to encompass a variety of common and exotic pets. My goal is to educate and continue learning about proper care, husbandry, breeding, and ethical issues involved in keeping exotic and domestic pets. I want my readers to have access to accurate and concise information quickly, with the option of reading the why-and-how that supports it.

I’ve been keeping “exotic” pets since childhood, when I brought home frogs, turtles, snakes, spiders, and all manner of critters from my backyard in rural Michigan, but didn’t get my first python from a specialty pet store until 2004. I was formally educated as a pet dog trainer through Animal Behavior College, though I can’t seem to escape my day job in accounting, which I hate. HATE! But my dumb ass bought into the American debt-centric dream and now I’m stuck with it because I can’t take a pay cut. Goddam, I should’ve just bought more boas.

  1. Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I
guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your
blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any tips for beginner blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate

  2. I like the helpful information you provide in your articles. I will bookmark your blog and check again here frequently. I’m quite sure I will learn many new stuff right here! Best of luck for the next!
